Frequently Asked Questions
How durable are these decals on a jobsite with sun, dust, and constant movement?
These hold up extremely well because the vinyl is made for curved PPE surfaces. They do not crack or dry out the way cheap paper labels do. They stand up to UV exposure, concrete dust, hydraulic oil mist, and sweat. Most crews get several years out of a sticker unless the hat is constantly scraped against steel.
Will these stick to all hard hat materials?
Yes. They bond to the most common shells used in construction and industrial work including polyethylene, fiberglass, and polycarbonate. They also work on most smooth tool box lids, crane cabs, clipboards, and face shields.
Do these come off cleanly if an operator gets re assigned or re certified?
They can be peeled off without destroying the helmet. You may need a bit of adhesive remover to clean leftover residue but they do not damage the shell. This is intentional because crews change roles and certifications.
Are these OSHA required for crane operations?
OSHA does not require hard hat stickers. What OSHA does require is clearly documented crane operator qualification. These decals help supervisors and inspectors quickly verify that the person in the seat is supposed to be there. They are a visual identifier, not a replacement for training records.
Can I use these for both mobile cranes and overhead cranes?
Yes. These apply to any qualified crane operator whether they run mobile, overhead, gantry, bridge, tower, or pedestal cranes. Most companies order separate color sets to match different equipment classifications.
Are these reflective or standard vinyl?
The default version is high visibility non reflective vinyl. If you want reflective, I can create that variant. Reflective is popular for night work, shutdown crews, and marine terminals.
